Rhonda Hilliker, CNM

After serving in the US Army, raising 2 sons, working 17 years as a Labor & Delivery RN, she felt called by God to become a CNM. She graduated from Frontier Nursing University with a passion for birthing outside the hospital. She has also been working as a missionary since 2008 in places such as Uganda, Sierra Leone, Kenya, Ghana, Guatemala, Thailand & Honduras!  

Lauren Johnson, CNM

Certified Nurse Midwife

From a young age, she felt a deep calling to support women during one of life's most transformative moments childbirth. Her passion for natural, holistic birth work led her to pursue her Nurse Midwifery Certification at Georgetown University. As a military spouse and bonus mom to three incredible kids, she embraces the flexibility and adventure that come with her family's dynamic lifestyle qualities that also allow her to adapt and connect in her work. In her free time, she enjoys baking, reading, rock climbing, and traveling with her husband, as well as spending meaningful moments with her church and military community.

Wynique Williams, CLD

With over 10 years experience working in the medical field as a Medical Assistant, she joined our admin team and completed her Labor Doula Certification via CAPPA. After working with Bella Donna Midwifery for a year, she became our Assistant Office Manager! As such a versatile member of our team, she is your go-to gal for all your questions! She is also currently obtaining her BS in Nursing with plans to become a Nurse Midwife.

She joined Bella Donna Midwifery in February 2024 after attending a friends birth and falling in love. This passion has driven her to become a dedicated midwifery assistant and obtain her certification as a labor doula through CAPPA.

Haelyn Holden, CLD, MWA

Midwife Assistant, Labor Certified Doula & Childbirth Educator

Haelyn started her doula journey through Stillbirthday in 2018 as a birth and bereavement doula in an effort to support others within the community. After her time in the military and college, she joined Bella Donna Midwifery. She is passionate about empowering others through physical, emotional and educational support throughout their pregnancy and delivery.

Jenna O'Dell, RN MWA

Registered Nurse & Midwifery Assistant 

Jenna is a recently completed nursing school and passed her NCLEX, and has deep passion for maternity care and community birth work. She joined Bella Donna Midwifery in 2024 and enjoys working in the clinic, attending births, and teaching childbirth education classes. Dedicated to empowering families through informed, compassionate care, Jenna looks forward to growing within Bella Donna Midwifery while also applying her knowledge of physiological birth to her own future family journey.

Bethany Wheeler, EMT

Midwifery Assistant, EMT

Bethany joined Bella Donna in the fall of 2024 after relocating to North Carolina from Wisconsin where she felt God was leading her path. She has over 10 years of experience in the healthcare field. Although labor and delivery is new to her, she has a diverse background working in many different specialty areas that allow her to bring an array of skills and knowledge to implement while caring for our clients. She recently completed doula training and is working towards becoming CAPPA certified. In her free time she enjoys volunteering as an EMT/Firefighter, spending time with her family, soaking up warm days at the beach, and finding new sourdough recipes. 

Keira Boros, CCMA 

Certified Clinical Medical Assistant

Keira first joined BDM as part of her clinical training and quickly fell in love with the vibrant, supportive environment. Now, as a dedicated member of the team, she brings her passion for assisting others to ensure every experience at BDM is special and comforting. Outside of work, Keira enjoys spending time with her nephew and perusing her bachelors degree.

Ashley Samperi, CLD

CAPPA Certified Labor Doula

Ashley is a wife and mother of five that were all born at home with wonderful midwives. After her children were born, she knew she wanted to be in the birth space advocating and encouraging women in their birth experience. She is currently trained via CAPPA and obtaining her certification. She looks forward to getting to know you and serve you in YOUR birth space.

Alison Hurd, RN IBCLC

International Board Certified Lactation Consultant & Registered Nurse

She started her nursing career in 2013 & fell in love with helping others successfully breastfeed. That love grew later when she was able to successfully breastfeed her own child. In 2017, she started the journey to become an IBCLC & worked in the hospital as lead lactation consultant until 2021. After a short break from work life, she took the opportunity to join the team of IBCLC's at Bella Donna.
